Have a great week!

Linda

Christmas is my favorite time of year! I always take extra special care in making my cards for my family and friends at Christmas time. That's why I just love the new framelits- Apothecary Accents. They are so versatile, and unique. When I incorporate them into my Christmas cards the end result is always a beautiful card that makes you smile.

SUPPLIES

Stamps: Greetings of the Season (128033)

Ink: Real Red classic pad (126949), Early Espresso classic pad (126974), Early Espresso marker (119680)

Paper: Very Vanilla (101650), Real Red Card (102482), Lucky Limeade (122926), Early Espresso (119686), Candlelight Christmas DSP (126901)

Accessories: Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder (127819), Big Shot (113439), Apothecary Accents Framelits (127003), Rhinestone Basic Jewels (119246), Vintage Faceted Designer Button (127555), Real Red 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon (119251), Crochet Trim 5/8" (118481), Dimensionals (104430)

DIRECTIONS:

1. Fold card base in half (Real Red 4 ¼ x 5 ½).

2. Emboss the (4" x5 ¼") layer - Lucky Limeade using the Lacy Brocade EF and Big shot. Place the folder so that there is a 1" space at the top that will not be embossed. Glue the first layer to the card base.

3. Glue a piece of Real red Card stock (1/2" x 4") to the back of a 1" x 4" piece of DSP ( Candlelight Christmas). Glue the DSP (Candlelight Christmas ) to the front of the card covering the line where the embossing stopped.

4. Run a piece if DSP (Candlelight Christmas) through the Big Shot using the Apothecary Accents Framelits. Move the Framelit over a ¼" on the previously cut DSP and run it back through the Big Shot again. The goal is to make the design a little smaller.

5. Run a piece of Early Espresso card stock through the Big Shot using the Apothecary Framelit. Glue this to the back of the above piece of DSP. You should have a nice matte of Early Espresso.

6. Cut off the very top of the Apothecary Accent using a paper cutter...cut down to the first radius. Flip this over and adhere a 6" piece of Crochet Trim using sticky strip and gathering the trim to fit. Adhere the Apothecary Accent to the card front using dimensionals.

7. Run a 6" piece of real Read Taffeta through the eyes of the Vintage Faceted Button. Tie in a bow and adhere to the button to the front with a dimensional.

8. Ink Peace On Earth using the Real Red pad and then running an Early Esspresso Marker over "On Earth". Huff and stamp on a piece of Very Vanilla. Run this through the Big Shot using one of the smaller Apothecary Framelites. Sponge the edges of the smaller accent. Place a Large Rhinestone on each side of the accent. Use dimensionals to adhere the words to the card front and you are finished.
