Supplies:
Paper: Designer Series Paper - International Bazaar - 126920
Accessories: Multipurpose Liquid Glue - 110755; Stampin' Sanding System - 129367; Crystal Effects - 101055; ¼" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon Daffodil Delight 126872; ¼" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon Wild Wasabi 126873; ¼" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon Pacific Point 126878; 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon Pumpkin Pie 119253; Wooden Clothespins; Assorted colors of acrylic paints; Magnet strip
Instructions:
1. Use your clothespins natural or paint them to give a more whimsy look. If you paint them make sure they are dry before you start the next step.
2. Cut out a strip of Designer Series Paper or Card Stock the same width and length as your clothespin. My clothespins were 3/8" x 3"
NOTE: It's easier to cut out strips that are slightly longer than the wooden pegs. You can trim after the glue id dry.
3. Coat the surface of one side of the wooden peg with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
4. Place your strip of paper onto the clothespin and position.
5. Once your glue has dried, use the Stampin' Sanding System to sand any excess paper from each end. I have found that sanding gives a nice clean edge.
6. I added several coats of Crystal Effects to the surface of my paper to provide a light varnish layer. Allow to dry completely between each coat.
7. Attach an adhesive magnetic strip to the back of the clothespin.
8. Embellish the clothespins as needed or leave plain.
