As the holiday approaches, it's nice to be able to use your paper crafting supplies for creating some beautiful presentation packaging for your gifts. Whether it's homemade cookies for the neighbors, nail polish or lip gloss for your friends, or fun treats for your children, this little bag is the perfect size for a thoughtful gift.
Supplies:
Stamps: Greetings of the Season (wood-128030 ,clear- 128033), Etruscan Elegance Stampin' Around Wheel- 127868
Paper: Be of Good Cheer Designer Series Paper-126896, Very Vanilla card stock- 101650, Gumball Green Card stock-126840
Ink: Gumball Green-126861 , Cherry Cobbler-126966
Accessories and Tools: Apothecary Accents Framelits-127003, Big Shot- 113439, Scallop Edge Border Punch- 119882, 3/8 Stitched Satin Ribbon in Gumball Green-126848, Simply Scored Scoring Tool-122334, Sticky Strip-104294, hole punch.
Instructions:
1. Cut one piece of designer paper to 6" x 12". Cut one piece of designer paper 1" x 12". Set this piece aside.
2. Score 6 x 12 piece on the 12" side at 1", 5", 6 1/2", and 10 1/2". Turn and score at 1 1/2" on the 6" side.
3. Cut on score lines on the bottom of the 12" side up to the 1 1/2" score. Cut off the little rectangle formed by the 1" and 1 1/2" score on one end.
4. Fold on all score lines to make good creases.
5. Put a line of Sticky Strip on the 1" wide tab on bag. This will be the side that of your designer paper that you want on the outside.
6. Adhere this tab to the other end of the 6 x 12 piece to form the bag and matching top edges for a neat finish.
7. Fold in two small bottom tabs then the other bottom pieces to form the bottom of the bag. Use Sticky Strip to adhere the last piece.
8. Punch the 1" x 12" strip with the border punch along one edge.
9. Starting at center back, wrap this piece around the top edge, bending gently at the corners to shape to the form of the bag. Remove from around bag and place on your workspace.
10. Apply Sticky Strip to this piece along the back side. Again, starting at the back of the bag, adhere border around the top. It will overlap a bit where you started in the back.
11. Stamp sentiment on Very Vanilla card stock (approx. 2" x 5").
12. Cut with Apothecary Accents Framelit and the Big Shot.
13. Use the edge of the Etruscan Elegance wheel to add a bit of a Cherry Cobbler border to the top and bottom edge.
14. Punch holes in the end tabs.
15. Thread the ribbon through and around tag and bag. Tie ends into a bow at the side.
16. Use thin "slices" of Gumball Green card stock as a filler.
