Do you have someone special who loves coffee shops but doesn't want to contribute to the landfill by using the disposable cups and cardboard sleeves? Then this is the perfect gift for them! Purchase a reusable cup and add a gift card for their favorite shop and then make a reusable, washable fabric sleeve to decorate it. They will never get their drink mixed up with their friend's drink.

Supplies:
Accessoreis: Big Shot (113439), Fun Flowers Bigz die (121812), Dresden Designs bigz die (125597), Fabric Adhesive Roll (122194), Brights Designer Buttons (119747), Summer Smooches Fabric (125411)
Non SU: Reusable Cup, Sewing Machine, Needle & Thread, Covered Pony Tail Holder, Cotton Quilt Batting

Instructions:

  1. Cut 2 pieces of Fabric #1 from the Summer Smooches Fabric that are 12" x 3 1/2". Also cut a piece of the quilt batting to the same size.
  2. Fold all 3 pieces in half so they are 6" x 3 1/2". Stack them on top of each other so the folds are all the same direction.
  3. Place the fold approx 1/2" from the rounded end of the smaller piece on the Dresden Designs Bigz Die. Run through the Big Shot
  4. Unfold all of them and place the quilt batting between the two pieces of the fabric with the right sides out. Pin together with the pony tail holder sticking part way out one end so that it forms a loop. Sew all pieces together with 1/4" seam allowance.
  5. Sew a button onto the end that does not have the pony tail holder from the Brights Designer Buttons. The placement of the button will be determined by the size of the cup you purchased.
  6. Now cut 2 pieces of Fabric #2 that are each 3 1/2" x 4. Also cut 1 piece of the Fabric Adhesive that is slightly smaller than that.
  7. Use the instructions that came with the Fabric Adhesive and iron the two pieces of fabric together with the right sides out. Do the same thing with Fabric #3 using pieces that are 3" x 3 1/4". Repeat with Fabric #1 using pieces that are 2 1/4" x 2 1/4".
  8. Put these pieces of fabric on the Fun Flowers Die on the appropriate flowers. Run through the Big Shot. Stack the flowers together and the 2 buttons from the Brights Designer Buttons.
  9. Sew all flowers and buttons together and onto the sleeve and your gift is done!
